Local Partnership

Nyeri Hospice has been able to network with other health institution and non governmental organization with an objective to offer quality palliative care. Such institutions are: Ministry of health and Nyeri Provincial General Hospital.

Nyeri County Government.

Nyeri Hospice has greatly benefitted from the quarterly drugs supply from KEMSA courtesy of the Nyeri County Government. The county has also seconded two nurses who are working on full time basis and a doctor who is always on call.

The printing press has been supplying us with patient stationeries for many years.


The organization was registered on 29th November 2005 with an aim to harmonize palliative care and to promote standards for hospice and palliative care by bringing in a common forum of all organizations in involved in such activities throughout Kenya. KEHPCA’s Vision: Quality Palliative Care for All Mission: To promote and support acceptable, accessible and affordable quality palliative care throughout Kenya Goal: To improve the quality of life of persons affected with life threatening illnesses and their families.

Satellite Hospices

We have started a satellite Hospice in Nyahururu (100km away) ,Murang’a Hospice (65 Km away) and Laikipia Palliative Care center ( 60kms away) which are now fully operational and autonomous.Nyeri Hospice has made Mount Kenya region of Central Kenya realize palliative care services to the community. Wheels for the World

This is an organisation based in U.K which has been distributing wheel chairs and walking aids for free to persons with physical disability. Since 2006 over 500 wheelchairs and other walking aids have been donated to the needy.

Hospice Care Kenya

Nyeri Hospice has received numerous support from Hospice Care Kenya, a trust based in UK with an aim to solicit funds for Hospices in Kenya.
